Our
Success
Since
1991, more than sixty women have moved into permanent housing after leaving
Elizabeth House.
-
90%
of our residents successfully transition
from EHouse into permanent housing and maintain a quality of life
modeled at our House.
-
"Graduates"
of Elizabeth House have accomplished incredible goals, including:
degrees in Substance Abuse Counseling, Licensed
Vocational Nursing, Computer Information Management; as much as 12
year’s sobriety; and long term employment within the food service,
childcare, and home healthcare industries.
-
One
mom and three daughters reunited with their
husband/father (who had successfully graduated from an intensive
substance abuse treatment program), and the entire family moved back
to the east coast to be near their relatives.
-
Another
woman was promoted and relocated to Chicago
with her two teenage sons, where a new job, house and car awaited
them.
-
One
of our past residents returned to us as a member
of paid staff and others have gone on to work at recovery programs
and other service providers in which they were once the client.
As
an indicator of the progress and wonderful connection past residents
maintain with Elizabeth House, many return to us to volunteer, attend
celebrations and participate in the life of the House -- all opportunities
for us to continue to support them and for all of us to enjoy our ever-growing
family!
