Wellness to Work

Research shows a clear connection between successful employment and good health. Therefore, we work to simultaneously address both unemployment and health issues.

Employment
EHouse offers one-to-one assistance to support residents as they work to obtain or improve their employment situations. Available assistance includes individual job search support, access to soft- and hard- skills training through relationships with local job training sites, and financial assistance with child care, transportatoin, or any other potential obstacles to employment.

Health
EHouse promotes the mental and physical health of the women and children who reside with us. We offer mental health therapies provided through relationships with local clinics, information and referral assistance to address physical health needs, and financial assistance with urgent and preventative healthcare expenses.

One of our newest and most exciting collaborations is with Kerry's Kids, a mobile pediatric health van. This wonderful crew of volunteer physicians, internists and other health care workers pulls up to EHouse in their health clinic-on-wheels once per month, dispensing advice, exams, medications, immunizations and big hugs. Check out Kerry's Kids online.
