Volunteering
at Elizabeth House
Elizabeth
House is a volunteer-based organization. It is through faithful support
from our volunteer community that the work at Elizabeth House is possible.
Whether you volunteer once a week, once a month, or once a year, you can
enhance and expand the work of the House in a variety of ways.
More than 50 volunteers contribute to the work of EHouse as tutors, childcare
providers, cooks helpers, office assistants, grocery shoppers, special
events planners, and in fulfilling many other duties. Please see our
Volunteer Opportunities:
Part-Time page for more information
about part-time volunteer opportunities at EHouse. If you are interested,
there is a downloadable application that you can print, complete and return
to us via email, fax, or regular mail.
Some volunteers choose to live on-site, with the women and children, for
a summer during college, a six-month stint during retirement, or for a
year and longer between paid employment elsewhere. Two of our four full-time
staff are Live-In Volunteers who, in exchange for free room and board,
health insurance and a modest stipend, live and work full-time at Elizabeth
House.
Please
see our Volunteer
Opportunities: Live-In
page for more information about the full-time, live-in volunteer opportunities
at EHouse. If you are interested, there is a downloadable application
that you can print, complete and return to us via email, fax, or regular
mail.
